My Story
On March 10, 2019, I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) that fundamentally altered the trajectory of my life. What began as a grueling recovery process sparked a lifelong fascination with neuroscience, neuroplasticity, and the resilience of the human spirit. I eventually turned that experience into a mission for health promotion, and the ultimate symbol of my recovery was doing a cartwheel across the stage when I graduated from Colorado State University in 2023.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked to merge physical conditioning with community impact. My journey has taken me from serving as a STEM coach in Alaska to leading outdoor education programs across the U.S. and pursuing a placement with the Peace Corps in Morocco. Currently, I’m based in Pittsburgh, where I’m developing Balm, a sustainable personal care brand that utilizes biodegradable bamboo packaging to reduce plastic waste.
I stay grounded through a rigorous fitness routine—maintaining a 225lb bench press and conditioning with a weighted vest—while finding balance through wilderness immersion and playing acoustic guitar.
